Sisterhood

An Open Invitation to the Women of the Lower East Side

The Bialystoker Synagogue Sisterhood Wants You:
To Become an Active and Paid Member!

Have you recently moved here? Are you single, married, living here 5 years, 10 years, 20 plus years, your entire life?  Wherever you fall out on life's spectrum, we would love your input.  What better way to raise funds for the Synagogue, bring great communal events to fruition, make some new friends, and make your voice heard!  Have you always wanted to get more involved in community events, and never known how?  Here's your chance!  Have you served on many neighborhood committees?  We welcome your experience!

We are currently inviting all of the women in our community to step forward and become dues paying members of the Bialystoker Sisterhood.  Membership is $25 per year.  (Synagogue membership is not a pre-requisite of Sisterhood membership).  Sisterhood membership fees will help cover the costs of Sisterhood sponsored events, and will entitle you to discounts at all Sisterhood functions.

Why not mail your check today?  Checks can be made out to:

Bialystoker Synagogue Sisterhood

New York, NY 10002

On Wednesday, June 30, 2010 a meeting of the Bialystoker Sisterhood was held at the Orenstein Building.  We thank all those who came, and apologize to those who did not know about it.  Many exciting and innovative ideas were discussed.  The next Sisterhood Meeting will be IY'H, on Tuesday, August 17th, at 8pm, at the Orenstein Building, 15-17 Willet Street.  Committees will be forming to work on bringing some great events to the community, and to hear input on any new ideas you might have.  We hope to see as many people as possible attend.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Deborah Goldman, Sisterhood President, via the synagogue office, (212) 475-0165.  We look forward to seeing you there.
