Jewish Understanding

"Hah-Vah-Nah" -- Hebrew for "understanding" - is a planned inovative adult education program, housed at the Educational Alliance, which will provide weekly lectures on various aspects of Jewish tradition, history, thought, cooking, Hebrew language, and a host of other topics aimed at a general Jewish audience.  The environment will be stimulating and interactive; the goal will be increased understanding, on many levels, of our rich Jewish heritage.

Crash Course in Hebrew Reading
Level One: five Tuesday evenings, October 9th - November 6th
Level Two: five Tuesday evenings, January 8th - February 5th

Israel Epstein takes your from zero to sixty in five one-hour sessions. You'll be reading and talking Hebrew in no time. (Israeli accents, however, take a bit longer.)
