New York, NY 10002

Directions

BY CAR

FDR Drive South

Exit at Grand Street (two exits past 14th Street exit).  Turn right at light.   Go approximately 6 traffic lights to 500 Grand Street on your right which adjoins Bialystoker Place/Willet Street.  The shul is halfway down the block on your left.  Park on Grand Street.

FDR Drive North

Exit at Houston Street exit.  Go around the roundabout and return south back on the FDR drive.  Continue as described above.

Metered parking is available.  If you park on the street, make sure you read the signs.

A parking garage is available to the public.  Coming down Grand Street,  turn right one block before the shul onto Kazan Street (530 Grand St.) Drive to the end of the block, and the lot is on the right.

BY TRAIN

F train (a little shorter walk than the B, D or Q)

Go to the East Broadway stop, the last stop in Manhattan (before Brooklyn). Exit at rear of train, take escalator up, at top of escalator exit through black, one way turnstile and go up the stairs. Continue walking in the same direction on East Broadway, (park will be on your left) for approximately 7 blocks. Along the way you will pass the Educational Alliance, The Bialystoker Nursing Home (no relation), The Young Israel Synagogue (the first one ever) and Emigrant Bank (a three story white brick building ). Just past the bank, East Broadway meets Grand Street (a public school will be on your right).  Cross the street and look for 500 Grand Street (by the CVS) which adjoins Bialystoker Place/Willet Street.  The shul is halfway down the block on your left.

B, D or Q trains

Go to the Grand Street stop, exit turnstiles and turn left. At the top of the stairs continue walking in the same direction (east) on Grand Street. You will pass through what appears to be part of Chinatown for three blocks to Essex Street (Feel free to make a detour at The Pickle Store on Essex to the right, but come right back.) Continue on Grand Street past the kosher pizza shop, and the East Broadway Bakery (yes, it's on Grand Street, but they have excellent black and whites and delicious breakaway challahs).  Approximately 4 blocks further on you will see the Emigrant Bank and The Henry Street Settlement (also on Grand).  Keep walking until you reach 500 Grand Street (by the CVS) which adjoins Bialystoker Place/Willet Street.  The shul is halfway down the block on your left.

BY BUS

Take the M14A (Grand Street route not the Avenue B, C, or D buses) to Pitt Street. Get off the bus and continue walking in the same direction for one block.  Cross the street and look for 500 Grand Street (by the CVS) which adjoins Bialystoker Place/Willet Street.  The shul is halfway down the block on your left.
